Keep away from this chemical in everything - parabens!

Keep away from this chemical in everything - parabens!

Check out what the National Library of Medicine has to say about parabens. Hint: it's not good!

National Library of Medicine - Parabens related to breast cancer

In the past couple of emails, I've been harping on about bad ingredients in mouthwash.

I do this because I'm passionate about your health and exposing what the "Big" companies are doing.

And if you are finicky like me, ingredients are the first thing you look at when you put anything in your body.

Wise habit!

But first, do you know what the "big 4 chemicals" below are really for? You probably recognize them but don't know what they are.

  • Parabens
  • Triclosan
  • Phthalates
  • SLES, SLS

Let's start with the first one - parabens. We'll go into the other chemicals in future emails, so stay tuned!

What is a paraben and why should I avoid it?

A paraben is a preservative, more specifically an EDC, or endocrine disrupting chemical.

This means its chemicals interfere with normal hormonal regulation in the body.

This can lead to more serious issues you definitely don't want in your life.

Don't take my word for it - look at this article from the National Library of Medicine.

The TL;DR version is - parabens have a correlation to breast cancer. Yikes! 😬

Bottom line, whenever you see parabens in any product (mouthwash or not), put it down immediately and do not buy.

We'll go into the other ingredients chemicals in the next email, friend!

For now, pick up a bottle of Oral Snoberts Mouthwash. It contains no parabens or other nasty chemicals. Only 5 main ingredients in plain English - how any mouthwash should be.

Better all around!
